What is included?
White blood cells are part of the immune system. This test counts them together; a differential count gives separate results for the different cell types.
Urate, or uric acid, forms when the body breaks down substances from its own cells and food. Its blood level is used in the assessment of gout and other specific clinical questions.
MCHC is the average concentration of haemoglobin within red blood cells. It adds information to the cell size and the amount of haemoglobin per cell.
The red blood cell count measures how many red cells are present in the blood. It is read with haemoglobin, which carries oxygen, and haematocrit, the proportion of blood occupied by red cells.
Anti-CCP measures antibodies that can help assess rheumatoid arthritis, a condition that causes joint inflammation.
ESR measures how quickly red blood cells settle in a tube. It can add information when assessing inflammation and often changes more slowly than CRP.
Platelets help stop bleeding by forming part of a blood clot. The platelet count measures how many are present in the blood.
CRP rises rapidly in infection and inflammation. It is used primarily to detect ongoing acute inflammation.
Who it's for
People with swollen or stiff joints, especially in the hands and feet in the morning, who want the markers for arthritis and gout checked.
Anti-CCP and rheumatoid factor (RF) are antibodies found in most people with rheumatoid arthritis. CRP and ESR measure inflammation, and urate is the cause of gout. Swollen, warm or morning-stiff joints need to be examined whatever the blood tests show, so do not wait for these results before seeking care. Normal results do not rule out arthritis, and a positive antibody alone is not a diagnosis.

How it works
Order online
Pay 1,445 kr. No referral needed.
Give a sample
Visit a clinic once your referral is ready. Follow your preparation instructions and check the clinic’s opening hours and booking arrangements.
No fasting needed
You can eat and drink as usual before these tests.
Add details for your doctor
Save relevant medicines, supplements (including creatine), previous results and your reason for testing in the notes on your order page. Mention recent illness and strenuous exercise where relevant. These are read during the results review. If you need advice before sampling, contact us; saving a note is not a request for advice before your visit. Contact us
Where to find your results
Some results in this panel can take a little longer. The laboratory currently sends rheumatoid factor samples to another laboratory once a week. You'll hear from us when results are ready to read on your profile.
A doctor comments on your results
A doctor goes through your results and writes a note in your account.
Other panels
You can add another test to your order.
Frequently asked questions
The price is 1,445 kr. It covers the 13 results listed, the blood sample and a written note on your results. Extra visits, tests and consultations cost extra.
Wait until your referral is ready, then walk in to a participating collection site during its opening hours. Bring photo ID. Your account shows the preparation for your tests. Tell us about medicines and supplements in the health questions. Keep taking prescribed medicine unless your own clinician says otherwise.

Your results appear in your account as the laboratory reports them, and a doctor's note follows. Your account shows the expected time for your tests, which differs between analyses.

Yes. Your personal dashboard lets you follow your values over time. The doctor's review helps you understand what is worth following up and when another test could be useful.
Blood tests can contribute to a diagnosis. Interpretation combines symptoms, medical history and sometimes further investigations. Your result review explains appropriate follow-up.
