What is included?
White blood cells are part of the immune system. This test counts them together; a differential count gives separate results for the different cell types.
Non-HDL is calculated by subtracting HDL cholesterol from total cholesterol. It includes cholesterol carried by LDL and other particles relevant to cardiovascular risk.
ALP is an enzyme found in the liver and bile ducts as well as bone. Other tests help establish which source may explain a change in its blood level.
Urate, or uric acid, forms when the body breaks down substances from its own cells and food. Its blood level is used in the assessment of gout and other specific clinical questions.
Folate (vitamin B9) helps your body make new cells, including red blood cells.
MCHC is the average concentration of haemoglobin within red blood cells. It adds information to the cell size and the amount of haemoglobin per cell.
AST is found in liver, heart, and muscle. It often tracks ALT but is less specific to the liver.
HDL particles help transport cholesterol back to the liver. The test measures the cholesterol carried in those particles.
Who it's for
The friends trying Enkel before it opens, and telling us what they found.
Ferritin shows stored iron and is read next to CRP, because inflammation raises ferritin and can hide a low store. Glucose is your blood sugar on the day and HbA1c reflects it over the past two to three months. ApoB counts the particles that carry cholesterol into artery walls. TSH is the first test of thyroid function and free T4 is read beside it. Blood tests do not show blood pressure and do not replace an examination.

How it works
Order online
Pay 1,495 kr. No referral needed.
Give a sample
Visit a clinic once your referral is ready. Follow your preparation instructions and check the clinic’s opening hours and booking arrangements.
A 12-hour fast before your test
Please leave 12 hours without food before your blood sample. Plain water is welcome during your fast; please save other drinks for afterwards. If you take diabetes medicines or medicines that need food, please ask your prescriber how to prepare before you start fasting. Please check with them before making any changes to prescribed treatment.
Let's plan your sample before 10am
Some of the markers in your test vary throughout the day, so we'll need your sample before 10am. Please give yourself a little extra time to arrive and settle in.
Taking iron tablets?
Iron tablets can affect the iron result. The laboratory recommends not taking them during the day before sampling. If your iron is prescribed, ask your prescriber how to prepare before your visit. Do not change treatment yourself. Also tell the team about any recent iron infusion.
Taking Levaxin in the morning?
If this test is to monitor your treatment, the laboratory recommends a morning sample before your usual tablet. Follow any individual instructions from your treating clinician. If you take it at another time or have recently changed treatment, ask your prescriber about sample timing.
Do you take biotin supplements?
Biotin can affect some blood test results. We can help you prepare before your visit, based on the product name and dose. If it's prescribed, check with your prescriber before making changes. Ask us before your visit
Tell us about vitamins and supplements
Record product names, doses and any treatment for a vitamin deficiency in your notes. Tell the collection team too. Do not pause prescribed treatment yourself before the test.
Add details for your doctor
Save relevant medicines, supplements (including creatine), previous results and your reason for testing in the notes on your order page. Mention recent illness and strenuous exercise where relevant. These are read during the results review. If you need advice before sampling, contact us; saving a note is not a request for advice before your visit. Contact us
